BIOGRAPHY
Esteban Jácome is a visual artist based in Guayaquil, where he develops a practice that bridges the boundaries between structure and expression, creating emblematic projects that blend spatial awareness with a refined artistic sensibility.
In his visual art, Jácome explores the emotional and psychological dimensions of contemporary existence. His work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, including his most recent participation at “Unfair” in Milan, Italy, representing the Pro Arte Ecuador Foundation. His pieces have also been showcased in Madrid and are part of private and collective art collections in different places as Paris and Milan, and other international cities.
Jácome’s artistic language returns to the primal gesture — to the crayon, to imperfection, to the raw subject. His bold lines and layered colors stir emotional reflection, awakening consciousness and inviting dialogue with existence itself. Through oil, acrylic, marker, and spray, he captures the volatility and restlessness of human experience, turning the canvas into a habitable space that transcends anxiety and embraces authenticity.
Drawing from his background in architecture, Jácome views art as both a spatial and emotional construct — a vehicle to generate impact and meaning. His paintings express an honest engagement with human behavior, exploring themes of mental health, psychology, and the automatism of daily life, transforming personal reflection into a collective experience.
